Name: Hunter Scott

What do you do at 900lbs?

I am interning as a Multimedia Developer. I am a jack of all trades and assist with designing artistic layouts, motion graphics, and editing & mixing sound implemented in our visual productions and applications. As an intern, I am eager to learn and help even if it is outside of my field of work. Saying so, I also aid in the interior design of the 900lbs office (installing sound absorption panels, purchasing uniquely designed artwork & decor, etc). Sometimes it is good to get away from the computer screen and get your hands dirty.

What do you do for fun?

As a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, I believe all my wild days are behind me, so for fun now, I enjoy reading books and researching about nature, human psychology,& esoteric subjects, creating music/art in my studio, cooking, traveling, and voice acting.

If you didn’t grow up in Dallas, where?

I am originally an East Coaster from the DMV (D.C., Maryland, & Virginia) who moved a bit while in the military (Florida, North Carolina, Japan), and finally settle myself in Dallas.

Favorite music?

I am pretty open and eclectic when it comes to music, but to get an idea of some of the music I enjoy, I listen to MF Doom, Alice in Chains, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Nujabes, Gang Starr, 311, Orsten, Flatbush Zombies, Eagles, Rakim, The Glitch Mob, and Bossanova.

Where do you hang out in your free time?

I enjoy going to the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden, Lower Greenville, and Deep Ellum. Honestly, I just enjoy exploring all the nook and crannies of DFW. Any other time, I am couch potatoing with friends.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be?

I would like to go back and visit Japan, Australia, Egypt, or Peru to be able to hang out with friends I made in these countries. If I had to stay in North America, it would be Quebec to go snowboarding.

What is your favorite 900lbs project so far?

I would say my favorite project so far is being able to install sound absorption panels, because I was able to have creative freedom in order to provide much more audibly pleasing spaces for our team to hold conferences where we discuss ideas, projects, and speak with clients.
