Taking Time To Give Back

As we at 900lbs continue to become more involved in the community, we never forget the blessings that have been bestowed upon us, and the need for us to give back to people in need. Whether its donating our time or our money, we believe helping out those less fortunate in our community is a top priority.

One such way we give back is by joining forces with Attorneys Serving the Community, a great organization that brings together female lawyers to positively impact the DFW community by supporting local women, children and family based non-profits. We have enjoyed a lengthy volunteer partnership with ASC providing pro-bono design services for special events that help support people in financial, physical, or emotional need. This year’s primary beneficiary was Hope’s Door, a local shelter dedicated to providing much needed services to women and children suffering from domestic violence. In the time leading up to their 2013 luncheon, ASC was able to raise over $350,000 which will help Hope’s Door expand their facilities to serve more people in need.

At the ASC Luncheon last week, we were extremely honored to be presented with ASC’s Friend of the Community Award, which is chosen by the members of ASC and honors significant and sustained supports for ASC and its charitable mission. We thank ASC for all of their hard work, and look forward to helping make a difference in the DFW community.
