900lbs Launches Hall of Heroes Touch Wall at McKinney ISD Stadium

Last year, McKinney ISD cut the ribbon with the opening of their brand new, 12,000 seat multi-use stadium. For opening season in the new stadium, 900lbs created energetic, impactful visual content for the stadium’s video wall and ribbon boards.

As part of the pursuit to deliver fans with the best experience possible, Shawn Pratt, Athletic Director of the district, engaged 900lbs to create a custom video touch wall experience to highlight their “Hall of Honors” – McKinney’s personalized hall of fame.

The experience promotes a collection of athletes (including championship-winning teams), coaches, boosters, and other supporters prominent in building the district’s prestigious athletic programs into what they are today.

Guests to the experience can scroll through season highlight videos as well as view player cards with statistics and biographies for Hall of Honor inductees, Individual and Team State Champions. Select Hall of Honor inductee player cards feature embedded district-created videos showcasing their contribution to MISD Athletics. These videos can play concurrently with the highlight videos to incorporate as many users as possible.

The entire design & development was built to the specifications of a pre-existing 10-foot touch screen located on the first floor of the stadium. Utilizing our unique iterative design process, 900lbs helped MISD determine the best user experience applicable for all ages.

To create a fully fleshed-out experience, 900lbs & McKinney ISD sourced photos and stats for over 70 player cards dating back almost 80 years!

Stay tuned as we continue to add features and support the winning tradition McKinney has continued for the last 100 years!
