On Wednesday, August 7th, members of the 900lbs team had the opportunity to collaborate with TMAC for their August Learn @ Lunch event.
Steven Billingslea, Interactive Development Director, presented to a room of manufacturing professionals on how emerging technologies, such as virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and mixed reality (MR) are transforming training in manufacturing. The presentation focused on how these tools in emerging tech are being utilized in the manufacturing industry and the benefits and results they provide to the entire organization.
We shared a case study of 900lbs partnership with Pepsico Gatorade to develop a VR Training Program for their plant in Dallas, Texas. Participants learned how implementing a VR training program can be cost-effective, produce results, and can be scalable. Attendees had the opportunity to demo the Gatorade VR training application to improve safety in the plant and allow employees to train anytime to master their skills.
900lbs is thankful to collaborate with TMAC and looks forward to continuing the conversation and expanding on the topic in October when Steve Deitz, CEO and founder, presents at the TMAC Smart Manufacturing Conference.
