What do you at 900lbs?

I am another one of the marketing interns. My responsibilities involve coordinating all of 900lbs’ social media, researching and writing blog posts for the website, filming and stitching together 360 video, and more. It really depends on the day.

What do you do for fun?

I like discovering new music, spending time at the pool, riding my bike, and hanging out with my friends in Deep Ellum or Lower Greenville. Lately I’ve been playing Pokemon GO at White Rock Lake – gotta catch em all!

If you didn’t grow up in Dallas, where?

Originally, I’m from the suburbs of St. Louis, Missouri. I graduated from Southern Methodist University this past May, and now I’m in Dallas to stay.

Favorite Music?

My favorite music changes every week, because I listen to about four or five songs until I hate them. At that point, I move on to my next mini-playlist of four of five songs that I just discovered. If we’re listing specific artists: M83, Tame Impala, Arctic Monkeys, Cage the Elephant, Leon Bridges, Saint Motel, Oyster Kids, Glass Animals, BORNS, Chance the Rapper, Childish Gambino.

Where do you hang out in your free time?

My friends and I spend most of our time out and about in Deep Ellum and Lower Greenville. Our favorite spots are Wit’s End, The Green Room. the speakeasy in the back of High & Tight Barbershop, HG Supply Co, and the Truckyard.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be? What would you do? Why?

In June I traveled in Europe for three weeks and saw Amsterdam, Paris, all over Italy, and the trip ended in Athens. For future trips, I really want to see Iceland, Scotland, Spain, and Morocco. I’ve just heard great things about all of those places and I would really like to experience the different cultures for myself.

Favorite 900lbs project so far?

We’re currently working on a project with the Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau to build a mobile application for people who are not familiar with the Dallas area. It highlights the different neighborhoods around the city, and more specifically the great restaurants, bars, etc within those areas. We’re working a lot with 360 video, so it’s been pretty fun traveling around the city and documenting what makes Dallas so great. I can’t wait to see how it turns out.
