What do you do at 900lbs?

Associate Creative Director. I help lead our talented design team and unify all creative ideas to bring our clients’ visions to life.

What do you do for fun?

I love spending QT with my beautiful wife and two amazing kiddos. I also have two pups that I treat like my children so we have a full house. I’m an avid sports fan and the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys are my teams :). I’ve been an athlete my entire life so extracurricular sports and exercise are critical to keep me centered. Recently, I started playing baseball again so that has been really fun (and challenging) to get back into! I really enjoy woodworking and building furniture and decor with my wife in our garage. Finally, I’m still a gamer at heart and do my best to play the latest and greatest when the family is sound asleep.

If you didn’t grow up in Dallas, where?

I was born in New York actually. Being in a military family, I spent five years on an airbase outside of Tokyo, Japan. I spent a few years in Delaware and finally moved to Houston where I spent most of my growing years. I went to college up in small-town Kansas and finally moved to the awesome city of Dallas in 2009. I plan on being here for a while.

Favorite music?

I grew up listening to everything but really started getting into hip-hop and r&b for the most part. Anything Timbaland was always on the three-piece stereo. When I had kids, I had to keep the lyrics clean so I started jamming a lot of contemporary worship music and Christian hip-hop. My favorite artists today are Andy Mineo, Lecrae, and For King and Country. Lately, I started tuning into 80’s and 90’s stations on the radio… I’m all over the place.

Where do you hang out in your free time?

I don’t have a ton of free time! As a family, we try to travel up to Kansas or Houston to see extended family when we have a free weekend. I go to as many Rangers games as I can and look forward to the new stadium. Usually, my couch is a hot spot for me when life slows down!

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be?

I’d like to travel back to Japan and reconnect my childhood memories. Anywhere I can hike and appreciate a view would be fantastic. I also want to visit the Philippines with my two brothers and meet my mother’s side of the family. I also love visiting baseball stadiums around the country so that might be where I’d start! If I ever get to retire, I’ll find a place out in the country away from all the traffic and city noise.

What is your favorite 900lbs project so far?

Our Bell project by far.
