THE CHALLENGE

In 2020, 900lbs collaborated with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to create an immersive, web-based application that would help educate Health and Human Services (HHS) professionals on the benefits and use cases of the company’s cloud computing offerings in a unique and engaging way.

AWS is the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform, helping millions of customers—including the fastest-growing startups, largest enterprises, and leading government agencies—lower costs, become more agile, and innovate faster through cloud computing. AWS provides more services and more features within those services than any other cloud provider, which makes it faster, easier, and more cost effective to move existing applications to the cloud and build nearly anything you can imagine.

Given the breadth of AWS offerings, explaining the benefits of services concisely and accurately is critical for prospective customers. HHS agencies provide vital services to vulnerable and at-risk constituents.

Through discovery, concept, and development, 900lbs worked with the AWS team to plan and design an engaging, educational tool to help start the cloud computing conversation within the HHS industry: the AWS Health and Human Services Cloud Pavilion.

THE SOLUTION

900lbs worked with AWS to create an immersive, web-based application that helps educate HHS professionals on the benefits and use cases of the company’s cloud computing solutions in a unique way.

• Using AWS capabilities, we developed the AWS Health and Human Services Cloud Pavilion, a virtual reality destination providing a 3D experience for visitors.
• We designed an avatar to host and greet users—and guide them through the virtual booth’s interactive and educational content.
• 900lbs and the AWS team worked together to integrate key customer stories, case studies, webinars, and training information to bring cloud computing to life in a meaningful way.
