Bell
Mission Scenario Interactive Table Experience
THE CUSTOMER
Bell Flight is an American aerospace manufacturer headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas. A subsidiary of Textron, Bell manufactures military rotorcraft at facilities in Fort Worth, and Amarillo, Texas, as well as commercial helicopters in Mirabel, Quebec, Canada.
THE CHALLENGE
900lbs partnered with Bell back in early 2018 to develop a scalable, immersive experience for their new AVLC locations in DC and Huntsville, AL. We were tasked to handle everything turnkey, from immersive environment design to 3D animation and interactive execution.
This new experience would allow Bell to deliver an evolving storytelling presentation to customers that showcases Bell’s innovation in the Future Vertical Lift program.
THE EXPERIENCE
Through discovery, concept development and planning, 900lbs collaborated with the Bell team and architects to plan and produce the interactive Mission Table.
The Mission Table is a scalable platform that presents surrounding storytelling mission scenarios with motion picture quality 3D cinematics and synchronized interactive touch table top down map content. The Table includes a Visualizer mode that allows Bell customers to explore Bell’s FVL aircraft such as the V-280, V-247 and Bell 360 Invictus in a virtual hangar environment, exploring the unique capabilities and features.
Since it’s initial launch we have continued to scale this solution to include 6 additional mission scenarios as well as additional Bell aircraft and variants for the Visualizer Mode. We have also expanded this platform to include a traveling trailer version as well as a tablet version.
THE RESULTS
The Bell Mission Table interactive program has been so successful that Bell has accomplished their mission in positioning Bell as a leader in producing aircraft to support the military’s Future Vertical Lift Program.
As we continue to expand upon Bell’s capabilities in innovation, we have produced additional interactive experiences for the immersive theater set up such as Bell Supply Chain Management and Bell’s Manufacturing Technology Center, showing that Bell can not only create innovative aircraft, but also lead the industry in innovation, ensuring fleet sustainment and support for the war fighter.
