What do you do at 900lbs?

Interactive Producer / Digital Strategist

What do you do for fun?

I have a pretty balanced mix of hobbies: I love biking or running at Arbor Hills Trails in Plano. I’m also a bit of a gamer — I have spent time playing MMOs, MOBAs, VR Games, Tabletop Games, or D&D with friends. I enjoy being caught up on the latest films and HBO / Netflix shows, and lately I’ve been making more time read books. I love getting out in the city with friends and finding new places to eat / explore. I play guitar / piano, and I love exploring new music.

I also make trips to Lubbock, Houston, Albuquerque, and Boulder to visit family and friends. I’ve come to love road trips, podcasts, and audio books.

If you didn’t grow up in Dallas, where?

I grew up in Denver City, TX, an oilfield and agriculture town between Lubbock and Midland.

Favorite music?

I grew up with classic rock, folk music, and hazy alternative stuff..

I’m a big fan of Flaming Lips, Band of Horses, Guster, Daft Punk, The Album Leaf, Mogwai, Muse, Simon + Garfunkel, Radiohead, Thom Yorke, The Weeknd, and some other obscure albums I’ve collected along the way. I am a big advocate for Spotify’s Discovery, New Releases, and Mood-based playlists.

Where do you hang out in your free time?

I’ve been based in Plano for the last 2 years, so I’ve enjoyed the Arbor Hills Nature Preserve, some bars near Legacy, and trips up to Denton. I spend a lot of time with friends, cooking, watching movies, and trying new bars. In starting this new role, I’m hoping to spend more time exploring Dallas, going to concerts and sport events.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be?

A few destinations on my bucket list include Iceland, Japan, China, Germany, Spain, France, UK, Sweden, India, Brazil, and Australia / New Zealand. I’m probably going to start with an Australia visit with family or do a trip to an Icelandic music festival I’ve had my eye on.

What is your favorite 900lbs project so far?

I love seeing our work help people in need and inspire companies to make the world a better place. Our recent demonstration of the FC Dallas demo at Cook’s Children’s, along with our current Kinect project with River Legacy show how 900lbs brings value to hospital patients and education programs.
